Aries Quilt

The Aries is built for backpackers who want to cut weight without sacrificing warmth or comfort. The Aries quilt is for you if:

Most quilts are built to hit a weight target. The Aries is built to perform in real conditions.

What we do to ensure warmth:

• 900 fill power HyperDRY®* water-resistant RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified goose down

• 80% overfilled to ensure consistent, non-shifting insulation thickness

• Differential construction to ensure maximum design loft is achieved

• Fully baffled internal construction with no sewn through seams eliminating cold spots

• Boxed and baffled foot box to eliminate drafts

• Snap and draw cord with toggle at neck to keep shoulders warm

• Removable under straps, one with elastic loop for pad to keep the quilt in place and minimize drafts

• Heat transfer engineering technology in designs

• Optional Collar:If you plan to encounter some colder temperatures with your quilt, you may want to add the optional Gryphon Gear custom collar (patent pending). The collar is like putting an adjustable turtleneck on the quilt. It can be left loose or snugged up around your neck to eliminate drafts. The draw cord is on the inside of the quilt putting it within easy reach. Putting the draw cord on the inside also allows the insulation to maintain its maximum thickness in this area.

What we do to ensure a better product:

• Durable, lightweight 10D downproof, DWR nylon shell (Heavier 20D fabrics are available by special request)
• Internal serged (overlocked) fabric edges
• Width dimensions are accurate since differential cut allows the down to loft outward
• Replaceable edge tensioners (rubber can degrade typically in 3 to 5 years making sewn
  on elastic edging useless)
• Nylon baffle material
• Optional by special request: Silnylon frost bib (breath condensation guard) to keep moisture and ice from breath from soaking bag at chin area
• Stuff sacks and storage bags are supplied with all quilts and bags
• Handmade to ensure that quality is built in
